"We've never seen a console sell that many units."

Xbox boss Phil Spencer has revealed that Microsoft's original goal, at the time when Don Mattrick was running the Xbox division, was for the Xbox One brand to sell 200 million consoles.

Microsoft going into the next-gen console war, thought they could sell 200 million consoles, which of course most likely was based on the big success they had with their Xbox 360 over the PlayStation 3, and they never thought Sony would comeback full force with their PS4, but now thanks to an recent interview by Phil Spencer, we get rare insight in how Microsoft was planning on reaching this big goal, of outselling the world famous PlayStation 2 console by 50 million units, over the lifetime of sales of their new Xbox One design.

Customers are going mad for the Xbox One S, with its built-in 4K Blu-Ray Player, and Slimmer Size!

Xbox has stormed the UK console market following the launch of new Xbox One S models. The release of the firm's new slim 500GB and 1TB SKUs saw Xbox One sales rise 989 per cent week-on-week.

Things are no longer rosy for the PlayStation 4 in the land of UK, because since the release of the Xbox One S console over there, it has outsold the PS4 by 360%, forcing UK retailers to lower the price of the original PS4 (non-slim model) to only £149 in an effort to clear out stock.

First Rule of 'Fight Club', is DO NOT talk about 'Fight Club' - And that is what Nintendo is doing with NX!

The Nintendo NX is set to arrive in 2017, and the latest rumors point to the company next discussing it at one of its special Nintendo Direct events. In the meantime? The company doesn't want to talk about it.

Big 'N' is being a big bully regarding NX, if you want to discuss it they cut you off from all press and coverage and interviews, just like 'Fight Club', the movie, you know it exists, but the first rule is you can't discuss it, but at least one interview'er was able to get it out of the big bad bullies, that when Nintendo is ready to show the world what NX is all about they will be doing it as usual like been predicted before by 'Nintendo Direct', but sadly no hints on when that will occur, but normally they inform the press within 24 to 48 hours before the...

PS4 might have outsold XB1, many times over, but when it comes down to using the console, Xbots are winning! :)

The Global Web Index conducted a rather large survey with 17,990 console users. The consoles of these users varied from across this generation and last to include the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Wii, and Wii U. The users ranged from ages 16 to 64.

All they asked was one simple question after obtaining their console ownership and age information: “Roughly how many hours do you spend playing on games consoles during a typical day? -- In the end, good old XBOX LOVE won over all the other consoles! :)

Xbox One A Very Distant Third

While the PlayStation 4 is completely crushing the Wii U in most regions, that has not been the case in Japan. The Wii U had actually been managing to be the top selling current-generation home console in the region for a while, though now it has finally been overtaken by the PS4.

Japan is finally becoming the land of Sony again, for years Nintendo was the king, but with the launch of the PS4, it has quickly regain the throne, and of course Microsoft is still busy sweeping the floors in the mailroom, wondering if they will ever move up the ladder.

For misleading Steam users. Yet another problem the game faces.

No Man's Sky has been dropping players like crazy, but that's not the only problem the game faces. Eurogamer reports that the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) is currently investigating developer Hello Games as well as Valve over the way No Man's Sky was advertised on Steam.

These days, you are lucky to find more than 1,000 users online at once playing No Man's Sky, for a game that was hyped up for over a year and was to be the Game of the Year, it has quickly fallen down into the vast wasteland of known game failures, and besides the tons of Steam refunds since the game's release, now the game developers themselves are being looked into on how they hyped up the game before its big release, with a possible 'misleading' claim to be filed soon by ASA once their investigation is over in few months.

This is how you turn Pirates into Paying Customers!

A month or so ago, HENkaku got released that unlocked the PlayStation Vita v3.60 for homebrew, and emulators, then 'game backup' apps appeared soon afterwards like Vitamin and MaiDumpTool, opening the door to full-blown piracy of retail games, and that has in-turn caused one Vita developer to thank the 'pirates' for bringing attention to their Vita games.

PMStudios the publisher behind the Vita game Superbest Xonic, then went as far as offering their newly found pirates a deal to turn themselves into an legit paying customer, and it seems alot of them have decided to do so, because of the nice 'thank you' support.

Although many of the best games of all-time lists tend to focus on the familiar violent shoot-em-up franchises like Grand Theft Auto and Halo, the recent Pokémon Go phenomenon has shown us how video games often work best when they throw out the rulebook and try something new.

Open world gaming

No Man’s Sky provides a great example of this by stranding us in the middle of an endless universe with no apparent goal except simply staying alive. It’s a concept that’s also found a great deal of success in the Minecraft world that shows us that gamers are often best left to their own devices in order to create some spectacular results.

The open-world template has enjoyed a huge amount of success in recent years with even the likes of Lego Worlds showing us how the...
