All thanks to Richard Spencer for spawning a new era of 'video game' craziness!

Remember that video of white nationalist Richard Spencer getting punched in the face on the day of President Donald Trump's inauguration? Of course you do!
These days, thanks to the ease of developing for mobile phones, and producing 'flash/unity' games for web browsers, when something crazy happens in the real world, it quickly spawns an whole new era of stupid games to enjoy playing for a while on our devices! :)

To hospital after news spreads of PlayStation 4 theft from their Children's Cancer Ward. - There's still good in the world!

Last week, it was reported that thieves broke into a hospital's child cancer ward in Wellington, New Zealand and stole a bolted down PlayStation 4. The device had been used to help children through their chemotherapy sessions and was used by around 15 patients.
To think some horrible low-life robber, would walk into a 'children's cancer ward', and unbolt a PS4 console and remove it is just so horrible to imagine it could happen, but sadly it did, and as the news spread across the social networks, gamers open up their hearts!

Blackjack and the video game industry have a long relationship.

The classic pastime was one of nine launch titles for the Atari 2600 way back in 1977, a development that owes a great deal to the card game’s accessibility. Since then, blackjack or “21” has made the transition to the ZX Spectrum (Casino), Game Boy (Las Vegas Cool Hand), and, most recently, to mobile phones.
Going forward, and pending the creation of a convincing virtual reality (VR) experience for blackjack (it’s not beyond the realms of possibility; a reported 300 companies in Europe have thrown their lot in with VR), the game is likely to remain the concern of casino brands focusing on the mobile space and on purely online experiences, like website play.

Scalpers are going to be soooo happy if this is true.

Nintendo has reported they sold-thru 1.5 Million units, and had increased production to supply demand, but now there is rumors they are stopping all production in April and retailers will be getting only a few more shipments and then its no more NES Classic Mini.
Seems strange Nintendo would stop 'production', but maybe they were not happy it was 'hacked' and now can play many hundreds of ROMs and different systems also like Sega and SNES and Gameboy, or Nintendo needs production space for the upcoming Switch, or maybe they are going to release NES Classic 2 for Holiday 2017, and it was never in the plans to keep making the current Mini model.

New Adventures Built on the Game’s Huge World Coming Later in 2017

Starting when The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild launches on March 3, players will be able to purchase an Expansion Pass for $19.99, granting access to two new sets of downloadable content for the game when they become available later this year.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild for the Nintendo Switch and Wii U consoles is one of the largest, most engaging video games Nintendo has ever created. While the main game offers players an engrossing quest that will keep them entertained for hours, as well as the freedom to explore the vast Hyrule at their own pace, the game world provides a rich canvas that offers the opportunity for additional adventures. As a result, the first-ever downloadable content for the main-line Legend of Zelda series is in development.

Valve plans new system along with fee increase

Valve is set to drop its Steam Greenlight system — which allows customers to vote on small-scale and fledgling projects — in favor of a more streamlined system.
The new system is going to be called 'Steam Direct', and instead of community voting up or down a project, the developers will just need to fill out a simple form, submit their game, but now instead of paying a flat $100 fee, they could be charged up to $5,000 depending on the type of game they are submitting, below is some of the details of the new system, with more info coming out in later on this month.

Funcom’s new open world survival game Conan Exiles launched in Early Access, sells 320,000 copies on Steam first week
Funcom releases custom Unreal Editor for mod development and launches the Conan Exiles Steam Workshop

Awww yeah. Even if you're not going to GDC or PAX, this is news (don't be scared off by the mention of those events)! GDC will be talking about the future of the game at both events, and they've just announced some sales numbers, as well as the launch of mod support.
While the game has certainly gotten hefty buzz for its wieners, I'm personally quite impressed by Funcom's commitment to delivering a great game in Early Access, and hope that if you haven't jumped in yet, you'll give it some consideration :)
