We have reported before on the 'Reverse Engineering' of the cartridge, but recently there been some nice 'logic analyzer' progress that has helped id some commands and the pinouts used for cartridge which is basically just a 'memory chip' mounted on small PCBoard.

@smealum @ylws8 - Releasing UDSploit, an Exploit giving ARM11 Kernel Code Exec on v11.3 3DS Firmware

Nintendo Scene Developers SMEALUM and YELLOW8 are back with splash releasing an older 'exploit' now that big N killed it!
@modrobert writes: "smea has released udsploit which is an exploit giving arm11 kernel code exec on 3DS with firmware 11.3 based on a bug found by yellows8 back in 2016. This exploit was released after Nintendo pushed out firmware 11.4 which effectively patches udsploit. I guess it's better that way compared to no release at all."

As Investors Predict Big Things

As reported by Bloomberg, Nintendo’s stock has received a significant bump since the Switch launch, with shares gaining nearly 20 percent.
The newly launched Nintendo Switch hybrid has been a hit with their loyal fans selling over 2 million already in the first month, and it seems to be translating into a 'hit' with investors as their stock has been on a steady climb up over the last month, even more so then when big 'N' launched the now infamous original Wii design with its new style of gameplay and controllers.

Xbox_Is_Cooler.jpg
How do you do, fellow kids?

A study commissioned by Google has found that teenagers find the Xbox brand "cooler" than they find PlayStation.
That preference was switched in millennials, however, as 18-25 year olds thought Sony's gaming brand was cooler than Microsoft's.

So it seems the PlayStation is more 'cooler' when you are the older 'millennial' generation, but when you are the younger wild 'teenager', the Xbox brand is the more 'cooler' system to game on, at least that what a recent study by 'Google' claims with their poll findings.

It's 2017, but you can still experience the Internet of 1986 thanks to BBS enthusiasts.

Limited to an anachronistic 1200 bits per second, it took several moments for the green-phosphor ASCII art to scroll from the bottom to the top of the screen.
Anyone, remember the movie 'War Games' where the kid dials into Norad and starts a 'Nuclear War', well that was Hollywood version of modems and BBS's, but back then BBS's were real online communities that connect people together, the true start of forums like us! :)

It’s been teased, it’s been joked about.

No one could quite tell if the April 1 article was a joke or not. Well, allow me to formally announce to you: it’s real. Every single word was true.
Turns it was no April 1st joke, there is real Nintendo DS Emulator now available on your PC to enjoy, originally the project was called 'mGBA', but now the author has officially released it as 'medusa', and its still an early work in progress, but it does basically run! :)

AnimeMalWare.jpg
In Year 2017, even Malware is Anime!

Anyone affected by the new malware Rensenware, named after the anime-style game Touhou Seirensen (Undefined Fantastic Object), has to score over 200 million points on the game’s “lunatic” level or they won’t be able to access their computer files.
You all have heard of the growing trend of 'ransonware', that locks down your PC forcing you to either cough up big bucks, or say goodbye to your Hard Drive data, and forcing you to reformat, and lose everything you have and in some cases even backups have been infected, but this new breed of 'malware' forces you instead to beat the lunatic high score of almost impossible 200 million points in the game!

Pack it up, Pac-Man —

Bad news if you think Microsoft would soon change its stance about emulators on its Xbox One system. Rules change comes ahead of formal Xbox Live Creators Program unveil.
If you thinking soon you be able to enjoy playing 'Pac-Man' on your Xbox or Windows PC, via an APP you grabbed from the official Microsoft digital store, then think again, as they now have officially ban all forms of 'emulation' forever, no more mistakes of one slipping thru and then in few days being taken down, they will be zapped instantly from cyberspace never even appearing as a blip on your radar!

After the big specs. unveiling earlier this week by EuroGamer, now analysts are saying PS4 sales are doomed!

NPD Group’s Mat Piscatella has told Games Industry that the buzz surrounding Scorpio has the potential to help Xbox One outsell PlayStation 4 in the country this year.
Right now, the PlayStation 4 consoles have been basically outselling Xbox One month after month since their launch 3 years ago, but now with the World's Most Powerful Console Ever, coming up for 'holiday 2017' it might just change the sales tide over to the Xbox side! :)
