To be held January 10-13

But nothing great about the event, Nintendo claims 'closed door only conference with the press' and nothing new compared to E3 Expo!

Since this year E3, Nintendo hasn't show a lot from their new console to be launched next year.

But seems Nintendo has plans to show the system again at this year Consumer Electronics Show, which takes place next month.

But don't get too excited. Apparently Nintendo will only show the system to members of the press behind closed doors, and will offer demos to members of the media who did not see the system at the the past E3.

Nintendo said they will re-unveil the Wii U at E3 2012 and they confirmed the production and development schedule is on track for the system launch, which will take place between the start of the 2012 E3 Expo in June, and the end of 2012.

Only 321K Units Sold in Japan During Launch Day!

The Ps Vita was only able to sell 321k units on it launch week while if you compare this to the 3DS it falls short.

The final sales figures for the PS Vita are in and out of 700,000 units shipped on launch day a mere 321,407 were sold in its first 2 DAYS.

These figures compare very badly to the original 3DS launch which managed 371,000 in half the time and over half a million in 48 hours.

This equates to selling only 46% of the total shipment of units but does include sales to companies buying them to ship overseas.

Will be interesting to see what Sony offer their early adopters when they have to make the now inevitable massive price cut.

For Sony, Sorcery is everything that Kinect is not. It requires holding a controller, it's precise, and the gameplay should appeal to the hardcore PS3 owners.

Already just 2 days after the big Japanese Launch of the new 'PS Vita' platform, problem reports are flowing in!

Hopefully these problems can be fixed by 'firmware' update, but is sad that users are already finding many issues with the 'PS Vita' after spending their hard-earned dollars on it in Japan!

Whenever new hardware launches, whatever it is, there are problems.

The PS Vita is new hardware, and while I haven’t experienced any hardware issues, others have.

These are just some of them collected from various sites and forums:

One of the first 'problem reports', is that many games are turning off the WiFi stopping any communication or social updates and messages, plus WiFi is programmed to go 'auto off' after 5 mins on desktop also cutting off communication!

Hopefully, yet another firmware update will fix those, but the next report looks...

Launching in Japan with 700,000 units has resulted in piles of unsold machines!

The WiFi only Vita managed to sell only 85% of its launch allocation whilst the WiFi+3G version did even worse managing to leave 44% of units unsold! -- Read on for reports of 'early problems' also!

Onto accessories, sales of memory cards have been lower than expected because the bigger cards sold out owing to tiny numbers being available (some stores only got a single 32gb card) however almost all Vita buyers did get some size of memory card, tie ratios for games was no higher than 1:1 (which is pitiful) with Everybodys Golf 6, Uncharted and Dynasty Warriors being the highest sellers.

Namco's barely cheaper DLC laden Ridge Racer stayed firmly on the shelves as the title takes the accolade of being the first absolute bomb on the Vita, barely registering on the list of...

There seems to be another new Jailbreak Dongle on the marketplace for PS3 owners!

'True Blue' was the first on market to reopen v3.55 PS3 owners to allow them to play newer v3.60+ games, and now 'JB-King' as seem to be able to clone their unique dongle features!

On December 16th, 2011 someone in China grabbed a domain called 'JB-King.com' and about 2 days later, put up a 'website' claiming the same EARLY features of the 'True Blue', but just an email contact, with pictures and specs., no information on 'resellers' and no 'downloads', and the specs. listed are copied word for word from the EARLY 'True Blue' features the version that only play PS3 v3.6+ games from BD-R disc, not from the HDD!

A Game Review of the Nintendo Wii 'Sonic Colors' by 'Jeremy Hardin' (JHardin1112)

Team Sonic has done a wonderful job creating a new game that is bursting at the seams with content and will appeal to your senses.

A review by JHardin1112.

Game - Sonic Colors
Version - Wii
Time Spent Playing - 5+ hours
Obtained - Review Copy from Sega

I enjoyed playing Sonic games on the Sega Genesis as a child. I have not played any since then, until now. From what I have read about previous games not being received well, I can say that you have nothing to worry about with Sonic Colors. The game brings back fond memories of that wonderful blue blur, is an absolute blast to play, and feels faster than ever before.

The story behind Sonic Colors seems straight out of a Saturday morning...

Less then 24 hours, after the release of the 'PS Vita' in Japan, an 'Hello World' is already out!

That didn't long, seems Sony going to be already fighting the 'hackers' and 'Jailbreak'ers' with their new 'PS-Vita' system, as an rough but working 'Hello World' has already appeared within 24 hours!

Various 'underground' sites have been spreading this news that Japanese 'hacker' teck4 has already produced a working 'Hello World' app for the just freshly launched 'PS Vita' system!

It seems he was able to quickly take the old PSP Save Game Exploit via v6.31 and make it work on the new 'PS Vita' because it contains an PSP emulator that does not seem to protect itself from the old exploit.

What follows is a rough translation taken from his blog as supplied by PS3News:

EA has announced prices for their Elite 'car pack' for their massive online 'Need 4 Speed: World'

Since they have over 5 million users now playing for free with their 'online only version' of the successful 'Need For Speed' series, it is time for them to rack in the 'big bucks' or suckers in!

Since gaming consumers are now prepared to allow greedy games publishers to rip them off at their whim it seems EA are now taking the great DLC rip off / online rip off soaring to new heights.

Need For Speed is the franchise that gets the honour with EA launching an "elite" car pack for its Need For Speed World game that only contains a single car, now you may think that $4-5 is a rip off for an ingame car but this is EA we are talking about so please factor in their anti-consumer greed, so how much do you think EA wants for this single car (its a Koenigsegg...

Retail vs. Digital - Buying a game for the PS-Vita is basically the same, you just get a little case

Sony has decided that PS Vita games will be SHIPPED retail boxed in empty plastic case, just the game cart. with a simple warning card, no fancy artwork, or manuals, so much more for those EXTRA bucks

Despite the large plastic boxes holding the SD sized 'PS-Vita' game cards that nice clip inside the case is not there to hold the manual.

Its to hold the single warning sheet (and later dlc codes), Vita games do not and will NOT have any manuals as those with buying those first 'PS Vita' units and games in Japan are quickly discovering!

Uncharted has a very nice coloured warning sheet that looks like a manual but isn't btw! - Same as all the others, no artwork, no manual!

So much for going 'retail' instead of 'digital' to get that 'extra...

Use your PS3 controller with a Sony Cert. Tablet

Finally after a few months on the market, the Android-based 'Sony Tablet S' has added PlayStation Dualshock PS3 Controller Support to their OS via a new firmware update!

According to IGN and Engadget, Sony has announced that their Android tablet (for now, only the "S" model) will support PS3 Dualshock controllers via an update.

Owners of the Sony Tablet S, will be able to sync their PS3 controller using -first- the USB connector. But after that, you can use it wireless in a selection of games.

Currently, the update is only available in Japan and there's no word if their other model (the dual screen "P") will receive the same treatment.

Sony Backtracks, Says Only One Account Per Vita

It seems Sony has decided to lock down the PS Vita not just by memory card but by hardware, once it has PSN account on it, that is it, unless you use 'factory hardware reset'!

Now that the 'PS Vita' has been launched in Japan, the bad details of the new platform is starting to appear!

The first one is not only is the costly 'memory card' locked to having only one PSN user account on it, so is the 'PS Vita' unit itself, no adding on other PSN accounts, once you login with yours that is it, unless you wish to access the 'recovery menu' do a full hardware factory reset, wiping out all the 'save data' and settings, then logging in with a new account and of course another 'memory card'.

Nobunaga's Ambition X Pokemon for DS

At the recent 'Jump Festa', a surprize happen, Nintendo took the wraps off a new DS title (not 3DS), and it is something nobody predicted. Coming out at some point in 2012.

Strange the game is being released for the older DS platform instead of the 3DS units, this title just might be one of the last big titles for released for the old DS platform, there is some screenshots from the 'Jump Festa' event reachable via the 'news source' link, but not much information...

I've got some lotion to clear that up.

There is no denying that Rango is absolutely a good game and not just a quick cash-in from the movie. Players should expect to find themselves entertained throughout!

A review by JHardin1112.

Game - Rango
Version - Wii
Time Spent Playing - 5 hours
Obtained - Review Copy courtesy of EA

Ask most gamers what their opinion is of a game based off a movie license. Don't be surprised if most people react with disdain. We've all seen it happen before. A new movie hits theatres (usually animated) and the video game tie in releases at either the same time or shortly thereafter. Almost invariably, the game performs with less than pleasing results. I'm looking at you Total Recall! So, in a long line of disappointing movie based video games, how does Rango stack up? Can he win our attention, enjoyment and more...

Even more info and screens have recently been released on this up-coming Nintendo 3DS game title!

Kingdom Hearts 3D when released will allow players to control the characters 'Sora' and 'Riku', along with a few animal buddies called Dream Eaters!

Over at 'Siliconera' the news source there is ton of new 'screenshots' that show 'Sora' riding the 'Wonder Nyah' and using the 'Harilion', which seems to be something based on the 'Needle Lion' as a flail. And Riku can call out a goat with two horns called 'Yagihorn'.
  • Sora can ride the Wonder Nyah
  • you can also use the Harilion as a flail
  • Riku calls out the Yagihorn, which is a goat with two horns
  • see the Blue Fairy change Pinocchio into a real boy
  • Jimmy Cricket will appear in event scenes
  • battle nightmares like the Ice Penguin and Kuma Panda
Another great returning character is good old...
