Sony's Vita Developers On Multimedia, Flash, and PSP Backwards Compatibility

ANSWER: DRM - Yes, 'security' is the reason as usual, as they will be used as storage for games, patches, DLC, not just save files or your own video/audio media. - Again its all to do with protection!

Well according to Sony it's you!

They say that part of the cost is because of the included DRM systems to provide Sony with security from their customers!

One of the questions asked to Sony Vita developers recently was in regard to 'On Custom Memory Cards', their reason for it is:

So why did the 'adopted' Steve Jobs make Siri so 'pro life'?

Seems Steve Jobs has programmed 'Siri' to be selectful in what it will do or not do in what it wants to help you in finding out about things. -- Siri, it seems has its own mind!

Since the launch of SIRI on the Apple iPhone many questions have been asked of it, but now people are asking Apple instead!

Questions such as why can it find 'Prostitutes', 'Viagra', 'Shooting Ranges' or 'Breast Enlargements' without problems.

But when asked questions like: 'Contraceptives', 'Morning After Pills' and 'Abortion Services' they all for some reason draw a big blank despite the Apple product is using well know search engines to get its results, so it seems that Siri is infact filter'ing the search results.

It might just be that 'Steve Jobs' himself didn't want people to get real-life answers to...

A Piece of Gaming History To Be Gone Forever Soon!

It been around since the days of SNES, but now it is finally closing up shop, to be buried in a corner of PCWorld, with no more printed magazines to be issued! -- Its 'GAME OVER' for this company!

Those of us that has been into gaming since the late 80's and early 90's will no doubt remember magazines like EGM, Gamefan and Gamepro (even gamers living in Europe where it would cost upwards of $150 a year EACH to get them!)

Well now it seems that Gamepro is getting the last rites and the November issue is the last ever, its online website will also close its digital shutters on the 5th of Dec., 2011 (in a few days time) and a important slice of Video Gaming History will be no more forever!

Seems the publisher might have forgotten to remove some of the DLC from the disc itself!

This short Youtube video shows there is odd trick using a certain character and setting the languages a certain way also, you can view some hidden content on the 360 Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 disc!

This is a little odd, a trick to access some hidden content Capcom seem to have forgotten to remove (to sell back later) from the 360 version of Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 disc.

The video below explains the sequence to enable it, apologies but that is also the only source!

Our thanks to 'billysastard' for digging up this neat little Youtube video enabling us 2D fighting fans to enjoy more game for free!

Good news comes today thanks in part to a tweet earlier today from Homebrew developer CrashSerious in that he mentions the EFF.org has produced a large PDF in its fight to get a number of changes made to the DMCA law in the USA, and one of them goes into heavy details on why Jailbreaking should be allowed on Video Gaming Consoles!

ShowtimePS3.gif
Well as usual it has been a couple of weeks since we reported on the state of the amazing Showtime and now we bring you yet again the news of yet another unofficial repack build produced by none other then RedSquirrel87 himself, based on the all the recent GIT commits by the Showtime author himself (aka) LonelyCoder, this one is worth upgrading to, if you been finding issues with the stream buffer, as it fixes that along with a number of other minor issues! -- But remember these are latest commits, they are unofficial and not as stable as the Official releases, so you may run into new issues, but if you like being on the leading edge of technology, upgrade away! -- Enjoy! :)

Hi Guys,

With the new System Firmware 4.00 for the PS3 i decided to see if downgrading was still possible. IT STILL IS!

Anyway, i decided while i was at it, that i may as well make up a guide for Dual Booting cfw and ofw (or half booting, as e3 call it)

Also i suggest people trying this, or just downgrading in general read HERE and HERE and HERE to get some background on the downgrade process via flashing.

Whats Required??
For this you will need a few things. They are as follows:
  1. Playstation 3 console that can run 3.55 (Newer slims may not work)
  2. A hardware flasher (ProgSkeet, E3 Flasher, Teensy++,etc)
  3. A way to get into service mode (dongle, psp, ipod, andriod, etc)
  4. PS3UPDAT.PUP 4.00...

Xbox Kinect Sells 114K Units in Japan in First Year

Even with a ton of marketting in Japan, and Microsoft spending a fortune in promotion, the Kinect is basically their second big failure over there, even more so then the Xbox 360 console itself!

Well, very badly if the latest figures published by Famitsu are anything to go by...

Thats a total in 13 months of just 114,000 units, less than it sold on launch day in the USA.

Kinect games didn't fare much better either:

Shortly after Codename: REBUG team released finally the v3.73 spoofer, (which was originally delayed by them because they wanted to enabled full reActPSN v2.0 compatibility into it), Sony decided to announce that a new v4.0 firmware was inbound, and now that it has been rolled out across the world. The REBUG team has quickly updated their spoofer to handle the new v4.00 release and also released new Updater Packagers for their REBUG CFW that still of course enables full reActPSN 2.0 compatibility for both older v3.41 users and current v3.55 users, along with the v4.00 spoofing! -- Enjoy! :)
