A recent official blog posting reveals that Capcom really wants to see Street Fighter IV gracing the PSP. As a PSP owner, would you be happy to see this title on there?

Capcom's project manager Natsuki Shiozawa wrote on her Japanese blog that she wants Street Fighter IV to appear on the PSP. Apparently, her colleagues at the company all have the same dream.

Would you want to see Street Fighter IV on a PSP? It wouldn't be the first time a fighting game has been downsized for the handheld, with BlazBlue and Tekken 6 being two recent examples. You can read the blog entry here, where Shiozawa-san tackles a gauntlet of fan questions and answers them most honourably.

Torne also has a PSP export feature and awards users trophies. Seriously. You can earn trophies by watching TV, but a full list has not been revealed yet.

According to online reports, Nintendo has been sending out DS 2 development kits to certain developers. Previously, it was revealed Nintendo are planning a hardware announcement at GDC, so could it be the DS 2?

There have been a bunch of rumors lately surrounding new Nintendo hardware over the past few weeks. Now rumor has it that Nintendo has started sending development kits for their next DS system. These kits have, apparently, been received by numerous studios already. Additionally, if further speculation is to be believed, the company may start selling the hardware before the end of 2010. The Official Playstation Magazine has interviewed Tai Chiem, someone who has sketched out some pretty groove PS4 concept images. And he believes that the PS4 may well incorporate flexible touch-screen technology. Sounds like a dream rather than a reality?

Well we don’t have nothing concrete yet, but speaking to PlayStation: The Official Magazine, Sony fan and freelance designer Tai Chiem, who’s drawn some awesome looking prototypes of what PS4 could look like, including some of the specs, divulged his reasons for doing so.

“[I wanted] to challenge myself to design something based on a current company while keeping their design language,†he told the mag, “but also taking it further.â€

“I wanted it to look like something Sony would design.â€

His prototype design is far reaching and extremely technical, so can these lofty visions be realized? Chiem thinks it’s not even a question of if, but rather when.

“Flexible touchscreen technology is...

Microsoft has revealed that Xbox LIVE will be integrated with its new Smartphone OS called Windows 7. Good news for those who like to play online.

Xbox Live will be a fully integrated part of the next generation of Microsoft’s smartphone Windows OS, the platform holder has today revealed.

Though its current mobile OS, Windows Mobile 6, is hugely popular in terms of raw unit sales, Microsoft has been coming under heavy criticism both for its implementation of Windows Mobile and its apparent unwillingness to properly update the platform.

A new image floating around shows that 3D Video output is featured in PS3 debug firware v3.2. Looks like this is going to be a definite happening with some supported games.

We'd already heard that the PS3 wouldn't need anything more than a simple firmware update to make the jump to 3D, and it looks like we now have the first evidence of that very firmware update. It's obviously not ready for public consumption just yet, but a debug build of the 3.20 firmware is apparently now making the rounds among developers, and it quite clearly includes a "3D Video Output" option in the settings

Square Enix has confirmed that it was throwing about 'altered' screens of Final Fantasy XIII on the PS3 and 360. Amazingly, one of the shots was exactly identicaly but had the LB 360 button photoshopped on top of the L1 button for PS3.

Here's the latest:

Update: Square Enix has released this official statement on the matter:

Unfortunately we did mistakenly include screenshots taken for pre-production (non-promotional use only) in our latest release of assets. Screenshots from the final game intended for the press kit will be released shortly. As shown in our recent demo tour and Microsoft's X10 event, there is no material difference between the two consoles.

Microsoft kicked off the FFXIII ads in big style with an ad covering an NBA all star celeb game. And now it's Sony turn. But they've gone with a more conservative approach in putting the respective title on the official Playstation website. Looks like MS is gonna go all out on this title.

On the official PlayStation website, Sony is now front-lining Final Fantasy XIII on the site. It may not be reaching as wide of an audience as a TV commercial, but Sony is doing their own thing with Final Fantasy XIII. Since the series has been associated with Sony for over a decade now, their console audience is well aware the game is releasing in several weeks, while the Xbox 360's main audience is likely unaware of it and needs the stronger marketing push that Microsoft is currently running on TV. Aside from running this minor ad campaign on the website, Sony also put up the Leona Lewis video on PSN Friday night. Previously, Sony did have trailers running in PlayStation Home,...

The creator of Gran Turismo 5 has dealt some serious words to rival video games. He noted that its difficult to play other racers for longer than 5 minutes due to their 'poor quality'.

Yamauchi was asked whether he may implement features from different games in future Gran Turismo games, he replied;

An alert Xbox gamer may have thwarted a potential school shooting. After hearing a fellow gamer discussing how he was planning to shoot some people (with specific names), the gamer become alert and reported this to the police who managed to track down the potential criminal.

But then the discussion suddenly became more ominous.

"One of the males was talking in detail about his plans to shoot some people in his school the next day, and even identified the persons,†Omilusik said. “The local man asked him, 'do you know what you're doing?' and they abruptly terminated the audio."

The man immediately contacted Port Alberni RCMP and told them what he heard, and a cyber manhunt was set into motion.

Police contacted Microsoft’s security division, who was able to trace the suspect’s Internet protocol (IP)- a numeric code that uniquely identifies a particular computer on the Internet.
