Confirmed. A new Earth Defense Froce is headed to PS Vita with a scheduled release on September 27th in Japan.
According to Siliconera:
D3 Publisher has a portable version of Earth Defense Force 2017. The Xbox 360 game is coming to PlayStation Vita with ad-hoc and online multiplayer for up to four ant exterminators.
