Valve has announced a new project called Greenlight, a platform feature that allows the community to select the next games to be released on Steam.
This one will allow developers and publishers to post videos, screen shots, and descriptions of their games in an effort to win the approval of Steam users and have their title released.
“Making the call to publish or not publish a title isn’t fun,” said Anna Sweet, at Valve. “Many times opinions vary and our internal jury is hung on a decision. But with the introduction of the Steam Workshop we realized an opportunity to enlist the community’s help as we review certain titles and, hopefully, increase the volume and quality of creative submissions.” |

Sounds really interesting and could be a great chance for indie developers.
The platform is scheduled to launch on August 30.
