Kouziro has announced its FT103 tablet, which packs a 21.5 inches display and Android 4.0.
This is one of the biggest devices running Android 4.0 without veering into full-size TV territory.
There's no battery (it's always wired) and the screen works all the time in horizontal mode (no support for portrait). It includes a kickstand that keeps it upright on a desk.
Specs are not so thrilling too. You get a 1GHz dual core (TI OMAP 4428) processor, 1GB RAM with 8GB flash storage, which is fortunately expandable via micro SD card slot. There are two USB 2.0 ports, 2x 1W stereo speakers, micro HDMI, microphone, headphone jack. Connectivity options include 802.11n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR. Oh, and it also comes with a 1.2 mega pixel camera to let you do video calls to your friends, family and girlfriend (if you have one). |
It weighs 5 kilograms and measures 512.8 × 24.8 × 353mm.
Well, the device will launch in Japan this month for ¥34,800 ($437). And, most likely, it will stay there.
