Sony is proud to announce that the Red Playstation 3 system will now also be released for the Australia market, after originally being released in Japan last year as an exclusive PS3 color, but it is also scheduled to be released in UK on May 11 before it hits the Australia store shelves.

The new Scarlet Red Playstation 3 will be released in select stores on May 31 for AU$460 (US$470) and it will arrive with a 320GB HDD and two matching Dualshock 3 controllers.
