As you may know, you can't play the split-screen multiplayer part of Minecraft for XBOX 360, if you own a non-HD (or SD) TV. That got some consumers angry over the fact it wasn't mentioned anywhere.
Well, just after a few days since that issue, Microsoft (the publisher) will now revise its listing for the game and will offer a refund to customers who paid for a game that didn't work the way they expected it to...
"We updated our pre-sale notification to inform customers that an HD screen is required for the split-screen multiplayer feature on Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition," a company spokesperson told Kotaku over e-mail.
"If a player does not have an HD screen and purchased this game prior to the notification update, they are eligible for a full refund through customer support." |
Nice move by Microsoft! And, if you didn't know, Minecraft on Xbox 360 has sold over one million units in its first week on Xbox Live Arcade.
