If you remember, the two firms have been embroiled in various legalities since 2007 when Silicon Knights alleged Epic refused to provide adequate support for Unreal Engine 3 and used license fees to fund Gears of War’s development.

However, Epic Games counter-sued Silicon Knights for alleged theft of trade secrets.

Now, according to Mark Rein, a Jury in a North Carolina court "finds for Epic on all counts", and Silicon Knights must pay $4.5 million in "copyright infringement" damages!

"We are delighted with the jury's verdict and all of the hard work done by the Hunton & Williams legal team," said Jay Andrews, Epic's General Counsel.

Well, everyone at Epic are surely happy now.
