Seems that the next entry in Atlus’s Shin Megami Tensei series is headed exclusively for the 3DS. Also, teaser site is live!

Japanese magazine Famitsu weekly reported that Shin Megami Tensei IV is headed exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS.
For those who don't know, the Atlus' Megami Tensei JRPG franchise features numerous subtitled spin-offs including Persona and even Catherine.
The last numbered entry of the core series, Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne, released in 2004, but a DS entry, Strange Journey, released in 2009. Other recent releases include Devil Survivor and Devil Summoner entries.

Additionally, Atlus is currently preparing the release of the "updated port" of Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers (also for 3DS), which is set to release on August 30, 2012 (in Japan).
The official game website has gone live, and show us a couple of teaser images.
