This is shocking, at least for us who live in an almost "internet censor-free" country. South Korea's ministry of education, science and technology is reviewing a policy that would stop minors from playing online more than 2 hours in a row, with a total "dose" of 3 hours a day. This come to complement the already implemented law for stopping under-18 from playing late at night. Korea is known for his exaggerated Internet censorship and blocking and now their minds are coming to video games aswell.
From Korean This is Game website we can read: If the game industry is really a troublemaker, then the related government [groups] should discuss it and provide guidelines to instruct us,
Making similar policies from three different ministries does not make any sense at all. The two shutdown systems of the [Ministry of Gender Equality and Family] and the [Ministry of Culture Sports and Tourism] should be repealed if MEST's regulation is reasonable. |
So, what do you think about this restrictive policy?
