Anyway, I am starting to play ff9 on my psp phat, cfw 5.00 m33-6, and i was wondering if i can play the game one cd at a time. in other words, can i put one cd on my psp, play it through, then delete it, install and play the next one, rinse and repeat? thanks in advance? also, does this game run smoothly on that cfw?

Hi, I don't know about playing this game one CD at a time, but about compatibility you can check a pretty good list here:

PSX on PSP compatibility list at gamerspress.com (http://www.gamerspress.com/index.php?title=PSX_on_PSP_Compatibility_List)

In case the game is known to work best on another custom firmware than yours, you'll have to use the popsloader firmware plugin, which is pretty much like the "compatibility" mode for old software on Windows:
It prevents you the hassle of installing the specific firmware version that a game needs to run well.

Hope this helps,

The game ID for each disc has to be the same as the first disc or otherwise your save data won't be recognised when you change eboots of each disc. Also I reccomend you use the NTSC copy of the game, for single disc games I reccomend you use Simple Popstation GUI 3.00 and for multi-disc games PSX2PSP 1.4.2.

You could also do 2 multi-disc eboots containing 2 discs each if you want, doesn't matter really. Any questions or problems regarding any of that or the game I'd be happy to answer, enjoy the game, it's absoloutely freaking awesome.
