wiikey not reading discs

hello i have a wii with a wiikey installed,i updated to 4.0 with no problems when that littlke hack came out that only downloaded and installed certain bits of 4.0 it played all new games played all games,but my kids wanted to play smash bros brawl and as soon a sinsert disc i get a cant read or play disc problem all other games work fine the game it self played great on the 3.2. /3.4 ect

i still have the homebrew channel installed

i need a way or tut to downgrade i also have the gamma thingy to boot games installed when i use this to boot smash brawl i have treid the rip it plays but crashes any given time same with a the full game,i have tried other games and they are doing it the same insert disc tries to read black screen white writing,but if i use gamma loader it will boot the apart from smash bros brawl that is still hit and miss

is it possibel to do a full downgrade to 3.2 the just install any wad or iso thibngs for each game needed

i have the homebrew channel installed and few other loaders

i tried to update wiikey its 1.9s the newest not sure i have that so i downloaded 1.9s but its 48mb big is that right i remmeber the first wiikey config being 1.4gb or so

the iso needs to either be padded or forced on. I believe I used magic iso for this.

hi is that for update file for the wiikey you mean

is there no way to downgrade the whole wii firmware to 3.2 so i can just install iso files from games to let them play thank you for your help

also is there a guide to pad out the update disc

the easiest way to downgrade is anyregion changer or waninoko's downgrader.

Is your SSBB a SL version by any chance? If so then you simply need to restore the trucha vulnerability.

hello mate i have 2 version the sl and dl both do the same however sl plays for alittle longer i will check out the downgraders


ok i have waninkoko's downgrader do i just pop on sd card and run through homebrew channel then is there a option to choose new f/w to download and install cheers for help mate
cant seem to find how to for it,can this downgrader kill the wii how would i know if the game needed truca sorry havent been in the wii world for a while now lol

I am actually in a similar position... I have a Wii fitted with a Wiikey, but I haven't been playing with it much. I keep reading about this soft modding thing. Is it better for playing fake games? Should I rip my Wiikey out and try to go that route instead?

i read somewhere that wiikey allows you to play a game from an sd card. i have the original wiikey but do to wii's "amazing" library of games i haven't messed around much with the features of it.
