k, while looking through some homebrew apps and other crap that i already had i came up with this crazy idea that might just work!!
For this to work you must have:
-A PSP (of course)
-A copy of FFX in iso format (or any rip)
-PCSX2, the latest version
-A computer compatible of running FFX on PCSX2 (preferably quad core)
-PSPdisp v0.03 (any lower wont work)
-A good wireless connection (why would you want to play it through USB?!)
*Links will be provided*
After seeing people playing WoW and Resident evil on the psp thru PSPDisp i thought it might be possible to run PCSX2 through PSPdisp.
I HAVE NOT TRIED THIS (my computer is crap slow) SO PLZ DONT RANT THAT IT WONT WORK!
1. Getting FFX on your PC
For this you need to have the actual PS2 game disk or you can ILLEGALLY download it (DO NOT ASK FOR LINKS, YOU WILL BE BANNED)
Now you have to rip the game disk into an image file
I prefer to use imgburn as it is free and is a great Read/Write program
remember to rip it as a an ISO file!
once you have finished the rip it should be about 4.28gb in size, if not then you possibly might have a bad rip
2.Getting to work on PCSX2
Im not a user of PCSX2 so i do not have any knowledge in actually getting FFX to work, but i DO KNOW THAT IT DOES WORKS!
I sugest using tutorials for setting it up if your having problems
use torrents to your bios as you wont find it anywhere else
and plugins can be quite a lot of trouble to get working, but with a good setup, everything should run smoothly
3.Installing PSPDisp
Now this is the easy part, just download PSPdisp from the link and install it, it should ask for your psp game directory and then it will copy the needed files to your psp, easy
4.Creating controls D=
this is probably the hardest step as creating control commands for PSPDisp is difficult. Use the PSPDisp helpfile as it will explain everything about it, i would give a control set but the controls would have to be exactly like mine for keyboard and PCSX2, better make your own
5.Playin an awesome game on PSP
OK, when i said you should have really good Wlan (wireless internet), i meant it because we will run PSPdisp through Wlan instead of USB (its a Playstation PORTABLE, why would you play it with a USB connection)
Start up PSPdisp on both psp and PC, on PC set the options to Wireless LAN
it should pop up saying what IP address to use so on PSPdisp on the psp, set the IP address to what it tells you
Then start up Wlan mode on PSPDisp
Start up FFX on PCSX2 and set it to full screen and then set PSPdisp to fit screen in the screen section.
HOPE IT WORKS =)
This has not been tested so it may not work and if it does work youll need some high spec equipment (fast connection, fast PC, good router etc.) to play it at a comfortable speed
