Alright! Looks as if all that complaining paid off as FIFA 10 producer David Rutter has confirmed that the long range finesse shot glitch on FIFA 10 should be fixed on day 1 with an update (pending approval from Sony and MS). A number of other issues will also be fixed and all the details should be available later today.

Here's what David Rutter said exactly at the official EA forums:

We'll be confirming in the morning that this exploit, amongst other issues will be fixed in an update which SHOULD, all things blowing in our favour at Microsoft and Sony, be available DAY 1 globally.

The full response is being translated - but you've baited me into replying.

But updates are only useful if the person has internet and has updated.

Does this glitch happen during offline computer playing mode? -- Hopefully in the future a new disc-run will be made with the updated built-in on the print.

I very much doubt the single player a.i opponent will use this long shot, so it makes no difference if you have the update or not for single player, it wont stop the user from doing it but what would be the point.
