According to to reports, the very latest Wii update deletes most homebrew and causes some headaches for Wii hackers so folks are warned not to upgrade. It's your call...

people havent realized this is common for most every firmware update with the wii?

wait for the hacked firmware update as usual if you need to update

Not gonna be worth doing a new CFW since 4.2 has no new features....

Except Nintendo never actually removed the HBC before. Although this could be fixed if nintendo are just removing the HBC based on a single bit of information (e.g. the name).

Also, there is no need to update. WIISCU handles the shop channel and just install the IOS files when nessecery.

hell i finally got around to updating my firmware so i could try out sports resort, guess i'll wait again until any other games needing an update come out.

o god i bet watchdog will be on nintendo's ass about this. lots of people are going to complane when they update and end up with a bricked cinsole. and those people proberly dont even know about homebrew.
