Producer say Gran Turismo 6 will be done much quicker than GT 5

The producer of GT 5 has revealed that GT 6 will be released a lot quicker (time period wise) than Gran Turismo 5 will be because the respective game has been made from scratch (hence all the delays etc).

I think GT5 and God of War and Metal Gear all hurt the PS3 by not releasing at Launch or close to it. They had a redo with the Slim and 2 of these games are not out til next year. GT5 has been in production for how long now??? are they even going to make a profit when it comes out? I wont be buying my PS3 until GOW3 comes out. and I will buy a Slim Used.

Forza 4 and 5 will be out before GT6.

GT5 had better be the greatest racing game of all time, for the amount of delays it has had. If not it will be the greatest epic failure in recent memory.

Here's my thoughts as to why they weren't released besides not being ready. They wouldn't have sold as much as launch titles. You need an established fanbase before you start bringing out the big guns. At $600, as well as the PS3 sold, many of us decided to wait. I'll finally be getting a PS3 soon.
