I got the rrod over a year ago and did the x-clamp fix. It worked for little over a year.
Now the S.O.B. is back again and I can't figure out how to fix it. I've tried to x-clamp fix again but I can't seem to get it to work.
I also tried the baking trick after x clamp (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_cCjyLcVJPg) this actually did work. I go to play a game and it froze on me again.
Are there any measures I can take to get this to work again? I do not want to bin my 360 if I don't have to.
In this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r7jGWIF244M)rrod fix video this guy does all of the necessary things except he uses a piece of sheet metal? at time 3:05 he says it a key ingredient.
He puts paste on the dies as well as some on the top of the sheet. Would this really work?
hope to get my microshit box fixed...I want to play nfss and new gta coming :-(

I know that noone replied but, I thought I could update my post.
after sometime I have finally got my system to work. I have installed the new heatsink and the talismoon whispermax fan, the two heatsinks that come with it and, the nitro switch for game and movie modes. Hope this holds up....thanks for reading.
