PSP - Original 1.5 firmware

Right, my friend wants me to do the business with his psp.

He aint used it for over a year and........... it's showing System Software as: Version 1.50.

How do I start with installing CFW for him??

your best bet is to make a pandora/DC8 combo kit and directly update to 5.00M33

1 - If you are under official 1.50 PSP firmware, copy kxploitpatcher and kxploitpatcher% folders from "1.50only/" of this download to your "ms0:/PSP/GAME/" and use it.
2 - Download official 3.52 eboot, rename it to 352.PBP and place it on "ms0:/PSP/GAME/M33CREATOR/" or "ms0:/PSP/GAME150/M33CREATOR/"
3 - Download official 1.50 eboot, rename it to 150.PBP and place it on "ms0:/PSP/GAME/M33CREATOR/" or "ms0:/PSP/GAME150/M33CREATOR/"
4 - Go to Games/Memory Stick on your PSP, and execute "3.52 M33 CREATOR". Once finished, it will go back to the XMB.
5 - Go again to Games/Memory Stick on your PSP, and execute "3.52 M33UPDATE". You'll have to press X to agree to the installation.
6 - When finished, press X to shut down and reboot manually.
7 - Enjoy your 3.52 M33 ;)

(If Psp Say "The game could not be started. Error (80020148)" do so:
Force turn off Psp. Press and hold press "R" button while turn on the psp.
Now you are in "Recovery menu".
Go on "configuration" and press "X" button.
Now go on "Game folder homebrew" and set it on "(currently: 1.50 Kernel)".


Put "M33Update4" folder in "GAME150" and run update.
(Ms0:/PSP/GAME150/M33UPDATE4/EBOOT.BPB)

Install 5.00 M33

Requeriments:

- Installation requires a PSP with 3.52 M33-4 or higher.

Instructions

- Copy the UPDATE folder into /PSP/GAME/
- Get the 5.00 sony update from somewhere, and put it in same folder, with name "500.PBP".
Alternatively, you can let the installer to download for you via wifi.
- Run it, the update will be done by Sony updater. At the end when you are asked to reboot the
PSP pressing X or O, do it.

Get the 1.50 sony update from somewhere, and rename it in 150.pbp. Put in root of Memory Stick.

Copy folder called "150k_installer" to /PSP/GAME5XX and run

*P.s.Installin 1.50 can delete LFTV and korean font there was not enough space..If you want them..read the readme.txt inside the packet.

im on firmware 3.03 oe-c,can i update to latest firmware without going back to 1.5?

i managed to sort it out,had to downgrade down to 1.50 again then just followed what Xenogears V had posted above,all worked a treat
