View Full Version : Game "Risen" bannable?

Hi guys,

Has anyone played Risen yet, its release date got moved from this week to TBA yet it has been released on torrents. i want to play it but don't want to get banned. Has anyone tried using it on live? what is the safest way to go around this to make sure its safe to play?

I wouldn't play it. Chances are those torrents are dodgy and designed to catch people out or just riddled with virus.

Even if the game rip is legit, it wont be on abgx360 until release date at the earliest and as was shown with ODST allot of the early leaks had flaws in them which could cause bans.

with ixtreme 1.6 you cant get banned, i played halo3 odst french version 20 days early and i was and am not banned from live.

did you play halo3 pluged in to live? or did you play it offline until official release date?

So all those other people with ODST got banned for......

You CAN get banned even with ixtreme, all ixtreme does is check the security of the disc, however corrupt data and playing early leaks can get you banned.

You can play it if you want but its your risk. Also bear in mind MS do delayed bans so you may get caught during the next wave ban (typically Nov/Dec)

Also even if you do play offline, the 360 is believed to store certain information on the console itself so if it records WHEN you played it or any flaws in the copy then you can still get banned as soon as you plug your ethernet cord in.

Hi guys, i read this on another forums and wondering if this will work.

What if i have another hdd, which i do, and i create an account on that, play the game using the second offline. will the console itself gather some information? as obviously i will put my original game hdd back when i play all the live games...

No, this is stored on the mobo itself, unless you want to avoid your account being banned.

you can always get banned nothing is fool proof, it might not happen for a while and you think you have gotten away with it, then one day you'll want to go on live and you won't be able to cos your banned...............sudeki300
