I have been trying since Oct 1st to create a cwcheat to hide the HUD while playing the game. I'm using artmoney to find the potential memory locations, originally I was dumping from a replay since you can toggle the hud on and off. So far I've been able to get the rotating track map to vanish, but I really want the bottom HUD panel to at least be transparent but I would prefer if the offset for the whole hud were moved off screen (I think that is what they do since if you hit start to pause it smoothly moves off screen to bring up the pause menu)

If anyone could figure it out I would be very very appreciative. I don't understand why they force the user to have the hud when they allow you to toggle in replays! It would look so much better without it! Thanks!

This is my first attempt at modifying memory at runtime, so I am very inexperienced with it. As in what would cause the track to flicker sometimes and not othertimes after enabling the following cheats that is...

Sorry, I can't help you. I haven't gran turismo. I have pre-order it. I had gran turismo maybe in weekend. If you have USA version, I can't help you, because my gran turismo been EUR.

Why don't you use CheatMaster, FreeCheat or NitePR to view/dump memory and/or find cheats, i think those programs work a lot faster to find something... :)

Here is the code that changes the in Game HUD while driving that somebody requested. You press R plus Square to toggle between 3 modes of heads up display. Full hud, lower part of hud only or no hud. I think no hud adds something good to the game.

The code below is setup to work with R plus square because it assumes your acceleration key is the R button and your reverse button is square. If you would like to change the button combo change line 1 and line 11 to the button combo you want. It is best to to choose accelerate and reverse as the button combo because you won't press those buttons normally in the game. For example you can use 0x10003000 to change it to circle and triangle.

Oh yeah make sure you keep the credits if you steal this code as your own ;)

thanks for this cheat. game looks great without the HUD. However, I'd like to have only the top HUD on during the game, you only provided options for full, lower and off. Could you please give me the line to add for only the top HUD to show during game? thanks a lot!

I only provided those 3 options because that is what is naturally provided and built into the game engine. The replay feature includes those options so it was very easy to trick the game into allowing the feature during driving because the funtionality was left in while driving just not implemented.

To get upper part of HUD only will probably be harder to do because the game don't allow that naturally. I'll take a look but no promises :D

Thanks for the code. I was a bit disheartened that it didn't work on the EU version of Gran Turismo though. I changed it a little so it will work on the EU version of the game. For any others who are using the EU version, here is the code for the EU version:

has anyone had any luck with the money cheat, I tried it but it does not work at all.

admittedly I do not know much how to make/find codes, I tried this code for credits:

but they do not work for me, I thought maybe because I am in the game so I tried to activate the code before the selection screen comes up, but still did not work.

I was playing with the cheat finder and searched for the amount of credits I currently have and it came back and said the address was 0x00825A00 so I tried a test and used

which would be 600,000 and it still did not work.

can anyone help me with this? I am using the US version of the game.

You say you tested and verified the change day code on the EUR version... Can you explain me how you do that? I keep pushing L+UP/down nothing happens.

I just activate the cheats and press the buttons at the menu. The actual text on the screen doesn't change though until you go back and forward in the menu.

Tested with UMD and untouched ISO with Game ID UCES-01245.

Damned, every cheat is working on my uces 01245 iso game except this one... That's boring cause it's one of the most useful cheats!

So well tell me if i'm wrong: i'm pressing L+ up (on the directional cross but also tried with the pad) on the main menu and then i select the store. But doesn't change anything!! I'm still stuck on the same day with the same cars for sale!

Could somebody please make a code that will unlock the Power / Weight Tuning.

The ability to increase Hp and decrease weight IS available in Drift Trial, just the options are locked in Time Trial, and Single race.

This would be the KING Code for GT PSP

They are currently only available in the Drift Trials. But the game is seriously in need of the ability to Make the cars more Powerful.

I have tested ALL the Codes posted so far except the one that changes the hud. I have the US copy of the game, I will test it and post back if it worked.
