Hey guys,

I've been happily soft-modding several Wii systems without any problem, applying Waninoko's safe updates as needed.

I recently bricked an LU70 wii, which led me to do some research on this and discovered Nintendo got smart ever since LU64+

So here's my question. I found a store in Canada that sells LU11 Wii's. Keep in mind this is October 2009. Is this a pure stroke of luck or is there something I don't know about these Wii's. Would these LU11 systems be the same as an LU64, or is there any real way to tell what version my boot2 is?

I always thought that Wii serial numbers were sequential, is it really possible a store would have such old stock?

Thanks for all repies in advance.

Ok, well I bought one of these "LU11" units and fired it up and it has 4.0U software installed on it, so it's definately not old stock.

Anyone have any thoughts? Safe to soft mod this or is this another variant of the LU64+ series?

the only way to tell is to run the bootmii installer. It doesnt matter what boot2 is currently installed, its boot1 which has to be vulnerable which LU64 fixed for the time being and nintendo can NEVER fix (without recalling every affected wii and replacing the CPU).

For the record my wii is LEH10 (EU wii) which was one of the earliest models and most copatible/vulnerable.
