According to reports, legendary band U2 has indicated that it is interested in its own video game. However, in the past they were reportedly offered such an opportunity but declined it because they felt it wasn't the correct time.
<blockquote>According to USA Today, bassist Adam Clayton has said the band would be interested in having their own video game. Oddly enough, it seems the band has actually turned down offers to place their likenesses in a game, but as Clayton said, it wasn't exactly "what they wanted" at the time. And why not add your name to the roster? This has proven to be a great way to bring certain music to a new generation that - argue all you want - doesn't really have much in the way of real music. Said Clayton:
"We definitely would like to be in there, but we felt some of the compromises weren't what we wanted. That could change. I love the idea that that's where people are getting music, and we'd love to be in that world. We'll figure something out. What The Beatles have done, where the animation is much more representative of them, is what we're interested in, rather than the one-size-fits-all animation. We didn't want to be caricatured."</blockquote>
