UK paper the Daily Star has run an article on the night vision goggles that come as part of Modern Warfare 2 bundle. But their article seems to suggest that the goggles will be used by late night perverts to spy on gay cruising spots.

I don't think alot of actions of the games industry and gamers have done anything to rid the perception. Online gaming gives more of an anti social geeky impression of someone alone with a naff headset on than before and the childish "gay" insults just show the same. And many more games are using sex in bizarre unnecessary ways like the extreme outifits in Soul calibur 4.

Though in this case I would say a paper famous for page 3 and sex stories should say little about any perversions.

It's the mirror they likely turned around and asked a staff member what they'd do if they had NV goggles just to get the story.

More is actually achieved if you get a sony nightshot camera and an IR filter kcvfr400 knows what im talking about ;):p

No actually it's the Daily Star, much lower down the food chain :D That's one quality, Highly acclaimed newspaper there...lol wonder if they still have the Page 3 Girls?

Daily Star mainly read by for the boobs, comics and sports pages....so basically the people the article was referring to...lol

Well I did nearly buy a longer lense for my fuji so maybe your on to something lol. Though why you think I might consider a Sony is beyond me :rolleyes:

OMG, does this paper really think if anyone who buys warfare 2 will have time to ever use em........F*"K no, they'll be too bloody busy playing the game for the next 2 years of their lifes!!! haha.

If anyone really thinks they are getting real NVGs with MW2 they will be sorely disappointed with a repackaged webcam minus the IR filter and a couple LEDs for illumination. $50 from your local security alarm store and your in business minus the display.

Seems like a very jack thompson douchey just to be a douche article. The daily star should stick to elvis sightings and alien encounters. What a joke of a publication.
