Ok so it's been ages since I played my Wii, today I turned it on again tho
I played a few 1P Mario kart races and was bored out of my mind, so I decided to go online, since it used to have some ok players on it, I downloaded the update without thinking to check if it was safe first, because it used to be safe to do so, and boom none of my US backups work any more.
My issue is I have a Japanese Wii, with a wiikey running on 1.9s I picked it up when i was there ages ago, and while my Japanese speaking is decent I lack the reading skills to play games...
Am I just fucked over? or is there a magical disc that exists somewhere that can force my Wii to downgrade itself to a lower firmware? and I will be fine so long as I don't play games online?
Or alternatively is my only course of action to play Japanese backups only and hit the books? or shell out cash for a US or Euro modded Wii?
