wave 4 rumurs!

rumour has it there is new wave 4,i can only say at this mo that its rumour,i didnt start it so dont flood my inbox asking me about it.

if true if theres no fw release for wave 4 you will have to boot your game with activate.iso from 1.6,this is if you are on wave 3 strict fw.lower fw types should boot the games with wave 4 no probs.

yeah its true, just use the activate.iso disk that was supplied with ix 1.6 or if your on 1.51 it doesnt matter. Just one title confirmed at the moment, yet expect a fw update soon i reckon.

I burned to a duel layer, (IMG BURN SAID IT WAS BURNING ALL TO FiRST LAYER)

the layer break was set manually to usual 360 position.

Popped disk into 360.......... and the laser just danced all over the shop, and the console said....... open tray. Like it couldnt read it.

I then burned to single layer, and i got the "inster this disk into an xbox 360" message.......

What is supposed to happen when i insert the activate.iso disk..?

you should get the message "insert this disk into an xbox360 console"
you then eject the disc(xbox goes back to dashboard) insert your wave 4 game and it boots.....siiimples:):)

Im getting confused, so many different posts on different sites ...

I currently have a hitachi (79 i think) with fw 1.51, as does my uncle whos hitachi i flashed.

Is 1.6 (i understand its not available for hitachi yet) required for wave 4 games to work ? Or will they work on my 1.51 ?

wave 4 will work on 1.51 but not on 1.6...cos on 1.6 they implemented rigourous checks on the disc so it wont boot unless its wave 1,2,3.....ixtrme1.6 owners will have to wait for a firmware update or use the activate.iso that came with the firmware which stops all checks on the disc..hope this helps:):)

Does anybody know when a new version of abgx is out as it obviously won't verify new wave 4 games and until the games are verified i won't be burning any off. And for those that will be playing games on Live which haven't been verified you only deserve one thing lol.
