Cars Race O Rama WAVE 4 Game

Its reported that the said game is Wave 4.

This means If you are on 1.51 WITH A HITACHI DRIVE the game will boot as expected.

If you have a SAMSUNG/BENQ OR LITE_ON on 1.51 the game will not boot.

However If you are on 1.6 The game will not boot and you will require the activate iso disc.

I have attached this below. It must be burnt to a dual layer disc.

Just a temp fix until IX1.7 arrives.

Its got a new dashboard update on it mate thats why it wont boot on 1.6

Kinda, activate iso will boot any disc without checking stealth is correct for the firmware you have on the drive, so, activate.iso is safe as long as the game disc is safe. (ABGX is your friend)

activate.iso will disable all security features your fw has to enable booting of games with bad protection (ie:a wave3 fgame patched to wave2) it wont be protected full stop so when you use it your only as safe as the backup you use the activate.iso to boot.

so basicly use at your own risk.

So what is going on. So there is a new wave out which means current firmware games won't boot?. I have 1.51 and just tried to play that cars o rama and it just says play dvd. But I just read we need some kind off boot disc now to play wave 4 games. So what do I do burn it put it into my 360 then swap the disc with a wave 4 game and it will play (reminds me of the old ps1 days). Please let me know as this whole wave 4 thing has lost me lol. Am guessing there will be a new firmware out soon to fix all this.

It has to be a dual layer disk unfortunately.
We need to waste an 8.5GB disk for a 3mb file!

I burned to a duel layer, (IMG BURN SAID IT WAS BURNING ALL TO FiRST LAYER)

the layer break was set manually to usual 360 position.

Popped disk into 360.......... and the laser just danced all over the shop, and the console said....... open tray. Like it couldnt read it.

I then burned to single layer, and i got the "inster this disk into an xbox 360" message.......

What is supposed to happen when i insert the activate.iso disk..?

But on single layer, i got the "insert this disk into xbox 360" screen......

So i guess single layer is OK?

Dont need this info for myself.......... i'm doing this for a "new firmware" pal of mine who says everything ive given him for the last three weeks dont work....

so i need to find out if this will cure his problem, with out me re-downloading all the games again, cos my copies work for me and they are all wave 2 patched down............ i gotta a REALLY old firmware...... dont go live so i dont care for that.

DL disc it is, same as the 0800 disc for samsungs. Layerbreak 1913760 and ignore Imgburn prompts. Burn at lowest 2.4x

Sound like crap media, as activate.iso disc wont fix this problem, this is a temp fix for wave 4 games until a new ixtreme comes out. You have a different problem there pal.

personally never liked these swap disc methods so ill stick with my 1.6 till 1.6.X or 1.7 comes out

but yeah I hope that everything happens before the MW2 release lol

Here is a tutorial on how to burn the activate iso properly...

This is taken from xbox scene so props to them lot.



1: You need your Activate.iso file! should have come with any version of iXtreme 1.6. download one of those to get Activate.iso.

2: Once you have the activate.iso file, you wanna drag and drop or save it to your desktop.

3: Insert a DVD+R DL into your dvd burner.

4: Now open up Activate.iso with any burning software you use. (I.E. Imgburn, Clonecd, etc… I personally use Imgburn… )

5: Now in your burning program go into your write setting tab and make sure your layerbreak is set to the Calculate Optimal setting. Also check your booktype for DVD+R DL and make sure its on the DVD-ROM setting and that your write speed is at 2.4x.

6: Start Burn!

7: As soon as the burn starts a message will pop saying, “that the image is small enough for a regular DVD R, do you want to continue anyway?”
(You wanna choose yes because burned to a regular DVDR the Activate.iso wont work!!!)

8: Next another message will pop saying, “even though the image is small enough to fit into one layer its best to write in both layers, do wou wanna go away from the norm and write in only one layer?” (Now I wanna stress…READ THIS MESSAGE CAREFULLY!!!!)

Choosing “Yes” will cause all data to be wrttin into the first layer.

Choosing “No” will cause data to be writing into both layers.

CHOOSE NO!!

9: It will burn then finish…

10: Insert the Activate.iso disk into your xbox 360. It will read for a little longer than usual then finally it will say “Play DVD”. Press “A” on your controller and a video should pop saying, “Play this disk in an xbox 360 console“.

I have burned it 4 times and no luck I get the white screen that says insert this disk in xbox 360 that can't be right thats the same error you get when you copy any 360 game wrong I found another tutorial said burn all data on layer 1 still no luck please help I have lite-on drive with 1.6

After the console goes back to dashboard, it would be wise to put the wave4 game.

The disk is available here: http://www.sendspace.com/file/5ed5xr and needs to be burned to a DUAL LAYER disk, but entirely on the first layer (do not set a layerbreak and when imgburn prompts, tell it to burn to the first layer only).

hi have burned this three times now but not working is it because i have samsung drive with 1. 5.1 firmware read this on another site. I would think myself you have 1.51 loaded on your drive it turns out that only Hitachi iXtreme v1.51 will boot 4th Wave backups ! and BenQ/LiteOn/Samsung iXtreme v1.51 will NOT boot 4th Wave, If you know what Drive you got then it might answer your question.... so have to wait for new fimware or can i patch with ppf o matic like with wave 3 cheers
