I'm trying to play a backup of Boy And His Blob but to be met with only a black screen. Am I missing a necessary ios? If so, does anyone know which one? Thanks.

If you have the original iso still then just run wii scrubber to see what IOS it has on the disc.

How do I know which ios is missing? How can I check?

use anytitle deleter to see what IOS you have. see dl.qj.net
