Infinity Ward: Console wars make us angry

The community manager at Infinity Ward has revealed that console wars and feuds make the team particularly angry. The reason for their anger over the respective subject is that they make every effort to make the title equal across all platforms and more often then not fans don't respect this.

IW should be extremely proud of their work, not angry. The way they worked on CoD4 speaks volumes for a multi-platform developer.


But when it comes to the whole ‘my console is better than yours’ fanboyism, it’s a different story. “I was talking to this one guy recently”, he recalls “He was a very angry PS3 user. Angry because he was like ‘why aren’t you talking about the PS3 version?’ and I’m like, NO, we’re talking about the GAME, not the 360 version. Just the fact that we have to explain that. Seriously. Calm down, and just look at this. The game is equal on every platform, so when we talk about a feature of the game it applies to the game as a whole. Why thank you for the info, if thats true I am staying the hell away from this mess I don't pay the money I pay for my PC and internet connection to participate in some peer to peer bullshit or be treated as a third class (yes thats not even second class) customer, kiss my ass IW my money is staying in my wallet and this is your loss.

You can blame the PC gamer market for that one more than Infinity Ward, I would bet that more pirate the game on the PC than actually buy it. I know a couple of console pirates but I dont know a single PC gamer that regularly buys their games. I would imagine that IW simply wants better odds of getting paid for their efforts.

I only blame IW for that, yes its full of piracy and blah blah but if you decide to come to the PC market you should be bringing along a quality product, and this is not just some annoying copy protection this actually severely decreases the quality and playability of the game and when the people hear about this it will be even less money for IW, and sooner or later the pirates will crack it, at least single player will be cracked on day1. So yeah, make a good product, don't neglect the features that are standard on our platform or don't bother at all.

Your right...based on that, the best thing for them to do would be to exit the pc market completely.
