failed spoof

As the title says...got a 360 with a samsung drive , everything is flashed and was working great untill a week or so ago when games started freezing for a few seconds.. also noticed the drive was making lots of clunking noises.
So last night decided to take my working HITACHI 78 drive and spoof it as the SAMSUNG using jungle flasher and everything went ok
connected everything back up to 360 put in game and all i got was open tray message, so tyried and tried and still got the same message ( no othere errors )
went to check the drive in jungle flasher and to possibly respoof and the drive can not get the drive detected in the app or windows detected..even tried powering off the drive with the tray open then on to get the drive into mode B but still no joy, although i know the drive is in mode B as it takes two clicks to close / open the tray..

just wondering if there is anything else i can try as money is tight and could do with out buying a new drive at the moment , unless any one has one around the cumbria area up to around preston

so try using slaxcd with the 78 and use firmweare toolbox,there are usualy alternatives and this is one of them,the drive will eiother show as a 78 or if it shows as a samsung dont worry just restore the drive back to stock and unspoofed and try again.

but,open tray might be the laser is gone.

Still not recognised using the slax method, i know its in mode b as needs 2 eject presses to open and close etc, used FWTB still no joy ....


Prob better now looking for the same drive type

i have a back up of the original firmware of the previous firmware plus a back up of the hacked firmware

if any one on here has one ( samsung ) , wondering if i sent the firm ware in email they could install it to the drive etc and post it on or collect if fairly local
just let me know how much
