Wave 4 on old Firmware flash

Hi guys,

I got my 360 flashed ages ago so i am assuming i have an old firmware flash 1.5? i am still patching ppf wave 3 games so that they can play on my console.

Question is I got lips number one hits, clean burn says LOAD DVD, a ppf wave 3 patch acknowledges the game when i load it wont update and gives me an unrecognisable disc error and back to dash?

Do i need the actiate.iso method?

my console is banned so im not fussed about live issues

I'm assuming you downloaded the game, because it was nuked stating it goes to play music menu.

EDIT: How long is ages ago? Activate.iso only works on 1.6 ixtreme.

yeah it was downloaded, i am asssuming now the game was nuked, i will try another wave 4 game tonight and see how it goes.

Does the dash require to be updated via the game disc before playing these new wave 4 games?

Updating gets fuzzy when depatching. Has something to do with the update partition being integrated, way too stoned for it now.

You will have to install that update somehow else or update your firmware.

can this update be done via m$ website on a usb stick? if not how can the latest update be done on a banned console?

ok guys,

I have a few wave 4 games now inc teken 6, no wave 4 game alows me to update my dash as i get the unrecognisable disc error once i begin update.
Its not the disc not sure why?

Note all games are patched with ppf and running on old firmware 360 console.

Is there any way to install this same xbox update from wave 4 games onto the console.

I tried using the xbox.com/support. downloaded the 70mb update put on usb stick $systemupdate folder thing and console wont recognise the usb stick for update.

Any help please, as i dont really want to firmware update the console
