View Full Version : Microsoft: Internet is designed for iPhone
Microsoft has launched something of an 'attack' on the Iphone by declaring it's time to face the music and realize the internet was designed for PC's and not iPhone's. He noted that this is why Apple currently has something like 75,000 applications available for their device.

The internet was also designed for the PS3, thats why Xbox needs netflix, twitter and other apps.
So its not always nice to attack your competitors products.

Isn't the real problem that AT&T's wireless network is not able to handle people actually using it?

The point is that Microsoft is mad because everytime they've tried to better the iPod/iPhone, they failed.

I don't get it, I agree though, most web pages are uncomfortable to view in an iphone.... or any other mobile device for that matter; besides, there's still no flash support. People swear that the iphone is the first phone to do what it does when in reality phones have been doing everything the iphone does now for years. If HTC wasn't so cheap with their cpus they could easily make a phone that walks all over the iphone, but they just won't drop those qualcom chips running @ 528MHz.

So what?. How many things Internet was not designed for and right now are standards?. It wasn't designed for trading or video streaming. It wasn't even designed for MS Internet Explorer, btw.

I dunno...I have found safari on the iphone sufficient that its replaced a laptop for quick lookups. Once you get used to the zoom and shrink gestures its actually pretty nice to use for a mobile device...no its not perfect but compared to my nokia n810 its freakin awesome...though the nokia does have flash support, having a fixed screen resolution sucks.

I doubt it could have been "made" for the iPhone considering the iPhone did not exist when the internet was in its early conception.
