Morgan Webb: Mario Galaxy is a game for kids and insulting to play

Attack of the Show host Morgan Webb has implied that is insulting to play Mario Galaxy as an adult because it is aimed too much at kids. Ouch what a cruel comment, but do you agree?

why is it the video game media now only like the overly violent shooters? i'm not complaining because i'll play them, but it seems like if a game isn't halo or gears it has "old play style." i've read reviews on a turn base rpg and they say "same old play style" and count off on it, well halo is the same play style as doom.

Swearing, blood, gore etc.. dont make a game adult, but make adult rating on box.

Adult gamers dont like games like GTA, MadWorld, Manhunt 2 etc. as much as youngsters do, and adults tend to like Mario better. Its the fun that counts.

And yes, there is some fun "gory games" too of course, but wears off fast after you played several of them :)

I've always hated GT AND TechTV. They never felt like a real gamers network. I always thought they were a bunch of idiots or complete fakes not knowing anything they were talking about. The channel reminds me of SpikeTV's "attempt" if ya wanna call it that, at gamer entertainment, VGA Awards, lol. Mario World was great and didn't feel childish to me but in trying to give Mario more personality in Galaxy, they've stepped too far into the cutesy and childish realm. While I don't think that's insulting to play as an adult, I DO think it gets annoying very quickly.

Had Morgan Webb simply stated that she felt insulted to play Mario Galaxy because she felt it was childish, I would not have commented. She is entitled to whatever opinion she wishes to have. However, she decided to say that as an ADULT she felt insulted; thereby implicitly claiming that adults in general would be insulted in playing this game. This is where the problem arises. She cannot speak to the motivations of all adults.
