N64 Emulator in the works for iPhone

Zottd, the creator of the likes of GBA4iPhone has revealed that he is at work on a N64 emulator for the iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch 3rd generation. Apparently the latest devices from Apple are fast enough for an N64 emulator so he has commenced work on one.

Zodttd, the developer for the iPhone and iPod Touch most famous for all his emulator such as GBA4iPhone, has announced that he is working on a Nintendo 64 emulator for the iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch 3rd generation!

He says that Apple’s latest iDevices are finally fast enough for a Nintendo 64 emulator so he has decided to start working on one.

Naturally there are all the doubts about how fast it will play and how you will control the joystick plus all those buttons (such as the Z-button) but regardless, if this comes out it will be simply awesome!</blockquote>

With the advent of motorola droid, I would rather see a PSX4iphone ported to the android platform. N64 would never work on the Iphone but The Droid with it's keyboard, really fast processor, and open platform begs for a PSX emulator.

the people who port **** like that to iphone would never make it in logistics.

n64 has 9 buttons, a dpad, and a analog joystick.

id like to know how in the **** this guy plans to map all that to the iphone

What makes me mad about the guy who makes these..
He takes free open source software made by someone else, and then ports it to Iphone and charges people for it.
And an N64 controller interface on an Iphone.... So you dont wana see the game your playing do you?

I believe RPGs are great on iphone because it doesnt need fast tapping on button you can always take ur time

Respect to Zottd only because does something i dont, but his apps are just half what they should and ported from other gratest peoples real hard work and of course he charges for something so legendly free in the internet as an emulator .....thats a scamm.

The only thing I dont like about Zod is the fact that he charges for emulators which aren't perfect.

I would like him to improve the current ones (particularly sound emulation) but its up to him one to do.

aw well. i wont mind paying if it runs ocarina of time smoothely:D that game only needs about two buttons at a time. :)

PSX4iPhone blows, so N64 will also. I'll stick to NES, SNES, Genesis and GB/GBC/GBA.

I love my iphone but i havent bothered with the emulators. IMO they arent very good on the iphone. No buttons doesnt work for me. There are plenty of apps that are good that arent emulators.

Some games blow, some games work just fine. Depends on the games you like. Fighting games just don't work. Period. They require fast action that the touch screen just cannon provide, and the lack of buttons doesn't provide any feedback for where your fingers really are. However, RPG games like Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy work flawlessly.
