Is there anything more known about that situation?
I've got a Hong Kong-made 120GB drive right now that I want to take to 250 but will all this be rendered irrelevant or...do we not know yet?

Don't worry, they can't detect a hacked HDD. Or at least at the moment.
The recent unofficial memory unit blockage was about the Datel memory cards.

That's what I figured. I just wasn't sure but I didn't think they'd be able to do anything about the hard drives.
who knows, one of the dudes on here who just got a 250gb got banned, but it could of been for other reasons he listed.

What does the bin file contain? If it contains anything unique between each drive e.g. a serial number then they can start blocking it.
