Is using the activation disc a safe way to play wave 4 games? currently I just convert them to wave 3 and play them offline

well patching them to wave3 is not advicable,so i realy dont get what you want to know.both methods are pretty bad but,patching wave4 to wave3 would be worse in my opinion.

IMO if you are not banned then wait for ixtreme 1.61 which has native wave 4 support.
