If you got homebrew channel working there shouldn't be much stopping you. What exactly can't you get to work?

i downloaded cios and preloader i can't get either to work. cios gives me an error when i try to downgrade. tbh i can't find a step by step that works for me.

Well since you have a launch console you can most likely use BootMii instead of Preloader anyway. You can even use it to back up your nand in case something goes wrong. Tbh I don't really know anything about cios and downgrading, but the newest version of neogamma can play NSMBW without any problems afaik. Why are you trying to downgrade anyway?

Preloader is useful for patching the system menu, such as prevent updates, etc. But bootmii is recommended for the NAND recovery though.
