A long long time ago, those of us who couldn't afford live on the original xbox or didnt want to get banned played on a lil program called XBConnect. It was like hamachi for consoles. Since the 360 came out, it seems that this program was all but abandoned. With the recent wave of bannings, would there be any interest in a program like this now, and what would be the technical difficulties that would need to be overcome for this to work now. Does the 360 have any sort of ping limitations to create a successful connection?

There was also a programme called xlink kai, used for ever on my xbox 1, but on the 360 it had to be set up spot on with a ping of 20ms. Never got it working on 360 really....but would be good to have something like it again

xlink kai will probably become popular. Once the limitation of the 20ms is bypassed maybe a new online community can be made (freebox live?)

I have been reading around, and from what I have seen so far it has been said to remove the ping limit, it would require a rewrite of game data. Obviously for live play that would be horrible, but hey! I'm banned! What do i care right? So i'm thinking headway has not been made because they are trying to go more on the side of getting it to work with the current limits, and messing with the limits on a 3rd party software or maybe hardware (router or something) side to try to keep things nice and easy for people to jump from live play to an xbconnect server seamlessly.
