We don't think FOX news has won itself any points with gamers here. One of their hosts amazingly declared that Modern Warfare 2 essentially allows 8 year olds to become terrorists. Not the wisest thing for a show host to say.

<blockquote>
There was no clear dialogue between the men, just mostly noise with Steve Doocy aiding the guy who's against the tilte. They asked whether or not the right protocols were in place to keep this "violent" game out of the hands of children, to which the defender replied:

"All the right protocols are in place, the game clearly has the 'M' for mature rating and Retailers have this one under control." He also noted that it was advertised heavily as a game that should be played by mature audiences only, and parents are well aware that such a title should not be bought for under age children. However, his explanation wasn't enough for Steve Doocy.

"Yeah, this game allows 8yr olds to become terrorists."</blockquote>

It's a shame no-one can step up and sue these people for making false accusations, it would certainly make them think twice before talking rubbish in future.

This just in, FOX news is the cesspool of journalism. Why don't they say how you need an irresponsible adult to purchase and allow that 8 year old to play the game.... OH! I've got an idea... blame it on Obama.

That part can be skipped. If a parent wasn't there to watch their 8 year old, who is really to blame?

THIS IS FOX "NEWS"!!! You more likely to get news from the Sun than this channel for the republicans/red necks. Even the Daily show with John Stewart can be a better source of news!

There is no point in arguing...why? Because most of the people who watch this must be complete thick ****s to believe everything they say....and to be honest that actually scares me. In fact I remember one politician saying that talking to some Fox News watcher who believed in the "death panels" that he was better of talking to the table.

If two months from now glenn beck says "rise up my brothers and take back america"...guess what will happen?

The host should've said "Parents buy M rated games for their 8 year olds..."
Its like parents showing them rated R movies with boobs and torture... It's not the movie that's to blame.

Does anyone remember the game "State of Emergancy"? this isnt the first terrorist scene from a game....

Still I was a little sick to my stomach playing that level in MW2.... It was poor taste and I think that it was a bad judgement call to put that into this game in this day and age. That level was just a little too much like the columbine shootings or the recent fort Hood shootings to just brush it aside and justify it as "story building." tasteless and shocking even to this 27 yr old gamer who has played every controversial game that hit the market, this is the first time I felt this way... just my .02

Just the other day i let my eight year old cousin play the airport scene. He loved it so much that we all had a major discussion on what he wanted to do when he didn't grow up.

We packed him up in a box and sent him to a terrorist training camp in Assastan, the leader of the camp abdula kaplah dirka dirka said he will be rewarded with 100 virgins in the afterlife and his parents will be compensated with video games for the next five years.

His first mission will be to dress up as donkey kong and suicide bomb fox news thus increasing the IQ of the american media by 80, i guess games really do cause violence

(Disclaimer: Watching fox news from a young age can make you retarded)

I do have to say that it disturbed me to play that level as well, but I didn't think they made a bad choice by including it. They could have told that portion in story form or they could have done it this way. It was their choice and I would've been fine with it either way.

Has Fox heard of ESRB and ratings for a game??? Its your own fault if you let your 8 year old play a game not suited for him/her. Not IW's responsibility.

Fun Fact: The Sun and Fox News are part of the same company, News Corp.

How come that doesn't surprise me??.... oh that's right I'm taking into account the news material (for sake of argument let's call it that) I've seen from the sun.
