e74 error can it be caused by cpu filter caps shorting???

Hi,
Done the x-clamp fix and it has been working great for a year or so. 1 red light and e74 message last night so i opened it up and found that 3 of the filter caps for the cpu were hanging off. I was just wondering whether it could be that 1 of them was causing a short circuit??

i'm guessing nobody has a clue. Any chance the thread could be deleted if so?? I've now got 3rrod after putting it in the oven. (don't have a bga station) any ideas people 0021/0020 depending on pressure on the gpu???!!!

1 red light is hardware failure and covers many items.
3rrod means overheating seems you put it in oven it must have been baked good and proper and the high temp probably loosened some more solder joints so keep the leftovers for spares or sell them on, you have spare drive,fans, heatsinks, etc i am sure someone will get some use from them.
