Hi,

Not sure if there is a thread for this, but wanting to know how i can run a backup of my original New SUPER MARIO BROS. Wii via disc channel on dvd?

All i get is the 10minute play cut out error.

1) what system menu are you on
2) could it be a bad rip
3) have you tried running it through gecko os

I had to jump through some stupid hoops to get this working from the disc channel.

First of all, to get it playing without DREs you have to replace or hex-edit main.dol, which of course means the game is fake (trucha) signed..which means you have to restore the trucha bug in the system menu IOS and the IOS the game uses, IOS53 in this case.

DOP-IOS will take care of it, but it can also brick your Wii so make sure you know what you're doing. If it's not worth it to you, just use a homebrew backup launcher like neogamma.

havent tried gecko yet. am bit of a noob to get running through disc channel forums say you cannot if you can instructions would be fantabulous

I thought only the system menu IOS needed signing?

Try installing IOS 38, 53 and 55 using wad manager.

I thought so too until I actually tried booting it. Restoring the bug in the system menu allowed it to read and attempt to boot the game, but until I did it with IOS53 it would just hang with an error.

i have the same problem, i downloaded a few different ISO, and they all have the same error after about 10 mins... what's the easiest way to solve this issue? I'm not good at this at all, pls give me step by step procedure to fix this.. i have a wiikey for my wii for quite a long time ago.. thats all i know.

i ripped the iso off my original NEw super mario wii game disc i own, but my bakcup wont go past 10 mins.

As long as you have the homebrew channel installed there are no problems running new super mario bros look at this.
