I currently live in mainland Europe and although I have a UK PSN account that I can use to buy content, I obviously have no access to iPlayer or Vidzone. Also, I can browse the Video Store but can't purchase anything because I don't have a UK IP address.

Does anyone know how I can access these features by fooling the PS3 into thinking I have a UK IP address?

I am well aware of VPN and PPTP and don't mind paying for services to facilitate them but how do you go about setting it all up, particularly at the PS3 end?

Hours have been spent on google already, can anyone please help?

UPDATE

Using a UK proxy and the correct port settings (entered into Network settings on the PS3 during internet setup), I was able to fully access Vidzone.

Using the same proxy/port settings, BBC iPlayer and the Video Store are situation no change as posted above in the first post.

My search for a VPN based solution continues........................................
