upgrading my softmodhelp and info needed

okay i have a modded 360 and the guy did it 2 year ago without breaking the seal totally cool but thats not the point i went to buy a burned game a few month ago and for some reason i can't play coz the firmware needs upgrading so i thought instead of paying 40 pound for the mod i can do it myself so today i took my 360 apart to find what drive i have and opening the 360 up was fun :)

my drive is

Hitachi - LG
DVD - drive
Model: GDR - 3120L
X800475 - 014

i don't know what softmod was done or how to upgrade as ive only ever softmoded a wii

Use jungleflasher, look on the sticker which rom version it is. You don't need to know which firmware it has, just restore and then flash 1.51. Use the tutorial that comes with jungleflasher, i advise you to use winapi instead of portIO for hitachi drives.

do u have a tutorial as im a bit lost haha also why version 1.51 if there is a better versions ?

Rom ver: 0078FK so im going to have to use version 1.51
