Can Xexloader be use with any type of sata hard drives or only hard drives made for the 360?

It works with any kind of external USB hard drive. I would imagine that includes IDE ones. They have to be fomratted to FAT32 or hfs+ though. As for internal drives, as long as you are running a homebrew capable 360 you can put any sized SATA HD in your enclosure and it will work fine.

not all external hard drives work mate

i have a freecom 160gb one here and i tried humpteen times to get it to pick up in xexloader with no joy.
got an old ide vaio one out and it picked it up straight away.

so a bit of testing may b requires

tho the freecom i believe is SATA and the vaio drive is an IDE
