Ok I'm having a huge problem with my Wii. I'm on firmware version 4.2U, and anytime I insert an original disc, whether it's Wii or Gamecube, I get this error with no error code:

An error has occurred. Press
the Eject Button and remove
the disc, then turn the Wii
console off and refer to the
Wii Operations Manual for
help troubleshooting.

What the heck is going on. Can anyone help?

what modchip do you have installed?
the same thing happend with me at the time i installed wasabi dx.
and when i opened my console again, the wire was sumhow unpluged at the time i was putting my console together!

if the wii screen doesnt even load, or only loads for like a second or so, this is the most likely thing that might've happened!

remove the chip if you have one installed ,see if you still get the error, if you do your laser is shot.
