MS: 2010 will be a bigger year for Xbox, no doubt

Microsoft seem pretty confident that the arguably 'worst' year of the Xbox (this year) will be brushed aside by the performance of the system in 2010. Microsoft said that there is 'no doubt' that 2010 will be a bigger year for Xbox.

Face it the past year MS had little to offer as far as exclusives go, ODST, L4D2, Halo Wars, Forza 3 and the GTA4 episodes...thats pretty much it. All pretty polarizing as far as fanbases go and spread too far apart to have much impact on sales. With Alan Wake, Splinter Cell, Fable 3, Halo:Reach, Mass Effect 2, Crackdown 2, Divinity 2 and of course Natal, I think its hard to deny that 2010 looks alot better.

Game exclusives are looking much better, but Natal, and for that matter the PS3 Gem/Wand whatever, both really worry me as I think they are just being very niche and not really adding a lot to either party. I may be wrong and it may be the second coming for motion control, who knows.

I think 360 and PS3 gamers want games, not toys and gimmicks. The Wii and PS2 picks up the slack very well for more casual players/non gamers.

IMHO, and I don't own one myself btw, the Wii is the only place to be for stuff like this, it's just a pity a lot of the games are either crap or just poor clones of 1st party games.

Start deliver games so xbox fan can enjoy, but to compete agains Final fantasy (i know is multiplat but 1.6m in japan alredy ouch) god of war gran turismo will need to release at least 5 halo games.

lets face it... if microsoft didnt say it sony would have... sony says it every year since ps3 launch. Its not a bold statement really... its just a pr hype statement. Microsoft just beet sony to the punch this time...

I wouldnt say that... just a bigger year for multi platform games. There has been some great multi platform games that while are not exclusive still are great games and not everyone owns every system.

Like madden 10 is by far the best madden ive seen in years. UFC was a big surprise and a very fun game, magnacarta 2 was as good as ff 10 was. Tons of RPG`s this year.

To say any console had a bad year would suggest all the games pretty much sucked and thats not the case.
