Is there anything that you can do with the Slim PS3 that you can't do with a regular one? I know on the PSP, there are several things that are Slim only due to the increased NAND size. Is that an issue for the PS3, or does the fact that the PS3 uses non-removable storage in the form of a hard drive prevent that issue.

As far as I know PS3 slim support Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio and has Bravia Sync.
There are no exlusive features

You can control certain Bravia tvs with the controller and vice-versa. Apart from that and things like its meant to be quiter I don't think there is much of a difference.
Besides not being able to install linux ad play emulators :p

I would say only the power button and eject make it ugly. But then again on this site few seemed to like the touch button as it might lead to a bit of cleaning.
Apart from price its the far lower power consumption that is the only exclusive feature really.

That Sony Bravia thing and it supports 7.1 channel surround sound, and I believe it also transcodes network data better when streaming- but don't quote me on that last one.To be put bluntly, you'd get more answers if you asked the same about the ps3 that.
